A COSMIC ONE OF A KIND EXPERIENCE!
Explore weather in space on Kitt Peak! This two hour program starting at 11 am will show you how the Sun's cycles affect the Earth. We will discuss solar flares and CME's. After this class you will never have to ask what CME stands for again!
In addition, we will look at our fellow inhabitants of the solar system and see what the weather is like there. Learn what the environment is like in interstellar space and beyond!
This program is held during the day at the McMath - Pierce Solar Telescope on Kitt Peak. The weather on Kitt Peak is approximately 10 - 20 degrees cooler than in Tucson. You will want to wear layers. While this program is entirely indoors, you will want to walk around the mountain a bit before and after.
This program can be taken in conjunction with the 10am McMath-Pierce tour.
